Welcome to Acorns Class

A caring village school with a family feel where relationships are at the heart of all we do. Our unique community is connected under the protection of the tree of life, where all are enabled to grow and flourish in their own surprising ways’

We are an enthusiastic class of Nursery, Reception and Year One children that enjoy exploring and working together.

Mrs Butcher is the class teacher and is supported by Miss Stayt.

What we’ve been up to

This term we have started Forest School! We have been enjoying the outdoors and thinking about what we are going to plant on our allotment too!

We have been thinking about the birds that visit our site as a part of the Big Bird Watch and will be counting the birds we see.

This Term’s Big Question is:

Castles, Kings and Queens. Who would you rather visit?

These are some of the things we will be learning about through our different subjects:

Science - Everyday materials and their properties

Art - Junk modelling

History - Past and Present: Kings and Queens

Geography - The United Kingdom - countries and seas.

PSHE - Looking after our friends and special people

PE - Dance

Music - Singing and using percussion instruments.

Computing - Programming using Beebots.

DT - Designing and making boats

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

This Term’s Timetable

Tuesday - Forest School

Wednesday - PE

Thursday - Geography and RE
